Scholarships, bursaries and loans

Scholarships we offer

All of our scholarships are open to first year applicants, basis differing criteria dependent on the scholarship type. Our scholarship regulations apply to students entering undergraduate programmes at the Indian School of Hospitality for the academic year 2018/19, and unless otherwise stated, they will continue to apply to such students for the duration of their programmes of study.

Applicable for applicants who apply before 31st March, 2018, with up to the value of 10% of their first-year fee credited towards tuition fees in two equal installments and applied to semester one and semester two.
For international, non-Indian applicants who apply before 30th April 2018, up to the value of 10% of their first-year fee, credited toward tuition fees in two equal installments and applied to semester one and semester two
Open for first year women applicants into any of the undergraduate programmes at ISH. A recurring award, available for first-year applicants to any of the undergraduate programmes. The value of the award will vary as per number of awards, standing in the 12th class examination, and review of their SOP. The assessment of applications is based on past, current and potential academic performance, including promise of leadership qualities. Applications must be filed by 31st May 2018.
Open for first year applicants from the NGO/PSU and Armed Forces backgrouds into any of the undergraduate programmes at ISH. A recurring award, available for first-year applicants to any of the undergraduate programmes. Students who receive the award will receive 10% off their tuition fees per year, for each year of their studies. Applications must be filed by 31st May 2018.

Merit based awards

Our merit awards are open to all students based on academic excellence and do not need an application as all students will automatically qualify for these awards based on merit standing. The value of the award will vary and will be applicable in two equal installments with the credit being applied towards the tuition fee. Students need to maintain an attendance of minimum 75% to qualify for merit awards.

Students who score and maintain a minimum letter grade standing of A (90% to 94%) for consecutive semesters will be automatically considered.
Students who score and maintain a minimum letter grade standing of B+ (80% to 83%) and maintain the same for consecutive semesters are automatically considered.
Requires a high first class standing in the 12th class examination, a review of the student's SOP, and filing of their application by 31st May, 2018. The assessment of applications is based on past, current and potential academic performance, including promise of leadership qualities.

Other awards

We constantly strive to offer new ways of rewarding students who show exceptional drive, motivation and performance. As of 2018, we currently offer the following awards:

a. Open for students in any of the undergraduate programmes at ISH. The student needs to apply and qualify for the award

b. Not a recurring award and only available for the Second year (Semester four) and Fourth year (Semester seven)

c. Value and number of award will vary

i. The student needs to be in good academic standing and maintain a minimum letter grade standing of B (75% to 79%)

ii. The student must demonstrate their good attendance standing and maintains a minimum 95% attendance during their internship (furbish attendance records along with application)

iii. The student must furbish letter of recommendation / appreciation from hospitality unit where he/she has interned

a. Open to all students based on demonstrated assistantship need. Students do not automatically qualify for these awards but need to apply for the same.

b. Available on a first come first save basis with each application being examined on a case by case basis by the Academic council of the committee assigned for determining awards and scholarship.

c. Value of the award will vary and will be applicable in two equal installments with the credit being applied towards the tuition fee, incidental fees, housing fees before any residual amount is paid to the student via cheque.

d. The student needs to be in good academic standing and has a minimum letter grade standing of B (75% to 79%) for consecutive semesters to be automatically considered for subsequent semesters.

e. For first year students or otherwise, the student needs to furbish the IT statements of his/her parents as well as any supporting documents required to assess household income and validate need, along with his/her application for the award (SOP format).

f. For first year applicants, the student must have secured a high first class standing in the 12th class examination and have filed their application for admission to ISH latest by 30th June 2018.

g. The student needs to maintain an attendance of a minimum of 75% to continue to qualify for assistantship awards.

a. Open for students in any of the undergraduate programmes at ISH from for their third year of study onwards (Semester five onwards).

b. The student needs to apply and qualify for the award prior to commencement of every semester at ISH (Semester five, seven and eight)

c. Value and number of award will vary

i. The student needs to be in good academic standing and maintains a minimum letter grade standing of B (75% to 79%)

ii. The student must demonstrate their good attendance standing and maintains a minimum average 75% attendance during their semester of study at ISH (excluding internship)

iii. The student must furbish letter of recommendation / appreciation from a faculty member / departmental head outlining research area or opportunity of study (could be either Institute sponsored or an industry sponsored study)

iv. Demonstrate and provide documentation of any collaborative research or business project participation, academic or commercial opportunity

HDFC Student Loans

Through our tie-up with HDFC bank, ISH students have access to loans that offer zero collateral security, no processing fees, 84 month repayment periods, and 11-11.5% rates of interest for female and male students. Co-applicant income will be considered when taking loan eligibility into account. How to apply for scholarships and entrance awards

To apply for our scholarships and entrance awards, candidates are requested to register on the ISH portal and successfully submit an application to their desired programme. Upon succesful submission, the option to apply for scholarships will then become available on the candidate’s personal dashboard.
